Hi everyone -

Finals are still three weeks away and they're already eating me alive. And ripping my head off. I really have to study for math and chemistry because they're the two classes I have the lowest grades in - my chemistry grade right now is 55%, mostly because the teacher hasn't curved the exams yet (the averages were something like 52% and 55%, so I guess I'm like... just about average?). Scary, isn't it? And I realized that I have to do well in math no matter what I major in because it's a required class for every major having to do with economics or the sciences. Boo.

Anyway, scientists have recently figured out that dust from 9/11 and the clean-up causes cancer, and already a lot of the recovery workers have developed cancer. It makes you wonder what we're doing with our environment - personally I think that with wireless internet and all the radiation from radio and stuff, we're all being exposed to high levels of radiation and we'll all develop cancer and die.

I really miss Hsinchu and I want to go home. :( I can't believe I'm already homesick. I thought I'd never be homesick. Hahaha. I even miss shopping downtown with classmates... and running around in Jinshan.

everything's a carcinogen these days, there's no way to escape anything.

good luck on your finals!

We did a mutagen test in bio, and among samples of coffee, skin lotion, artificial sweetener, and contact solution, guess which one's the most mutagenic?

Answer: Contact solution.

dude... that's the stuff i'm putting in my eyes everyday. seriously, i'm starting to think we're all killing ourselves with this new technology. we'll be wiped out in a hundred years.
